The instructors for Catchpenny Kids Theatre have built a private coaching program that is specifically designed for Denver School of the Arts. During these lessons, we focus on strenghthening the following requirements:

Resume
DSA Essay
Comedic Monologue (Classical or Contemporary)
Dramatic Monolgue (Classical or Contemporary)
Letters of Recommendation (One From Us)
Headshots (not required, but recommended)
16 bars of Musical Tune (Not Required, but allowed)

Every student will receive one on one guidance from an instructor, a letter of recommendation, and a mock audition and interview with professional directors. Your child needs no experience and improvement is guaranteed.

My daughter worked with Josh Putnam to prepare for the Denver School of the Arts Theater auditions.  From the monologue selections and private acting classes to the preparation of her portfolio and the mock auditions, we couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process!!  Not only was my child completely prepared for the audition, she loved the experience.  I had heard many stories of children breaking down after they auditioned and I was worried about that.  However as I was nervously waiting for my daughter to finish, she came bouncing out of the theater with the biggest smile on her face telling me how much fun she just had!!!  In addition to the audition process, my daughter has had the opportunity to work with Josh at the summer theater camps and acting classes he has conducted over the last three years.  She continues to grow as an actress and her passion and commitment is amazing for a 10 year old child!  I attribute this to Josh Putnam and his determination and dedication to our children and to the arts!!  Thank you Josh!
